The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) of Saudi Arabia has established strict rules requiring airlines to compensate passengers in case of delays or cancellations.
In case of cancellation not notified 14 days in advance, or significant delay, compensation can range from a fixed amount to a refund corresponding to 100% of the value of the unused ticket part.
Similar to European flights, airlines in Saudi Arabia must provide refreshments, food, and accommodation if the delay exceeds a certain threshold.
